On the afternoon of March 19th, the Faculty of International Studies organized students to visit the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in Chengdu for a thematic education activity themed “Walking into Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Appreciating Integrity Culture”.
Guided by docents, the students visited core scenic spots in sequence, including the Gongbu Shrine, the Thatched Cottage Scenic Area, and the Hall of Odes. Afterwards, they gathered in the Academic Lecture Hall to watch a special video on Du Fu’s integrity culture.
The students deeply comprehended the fine virtues embodied in Du Fu’s poems, such as upholding morality and virtue, regarding integrity as the foundation of governance, and maintaining integrity and impartiality. They also felt his broad-mindedness and profound devotion to his family and nation. Inspired by Du Fu’s spirit of integrity, the students realized that integrity is not only a moral standard but also a responsibility and commitment.
