During the 100th anniversary of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), the 2025 International Academic Summer Camp, co-hosted by the Faculty of International Studies and the School of Public Finance and Taxation, was successfully held in Chengdu from June 5th to 12th, 2025. Throughout the 8-day program, instructors and SWUFE volunteers provided full accompaniment, offering comprehensive support and guarantees for the smooth operation of the academic camp. Teachers and students of the camp gained in-depth experience of Bashu culture: they visited Chengdu Museum, Kuanzhai Alleys, and Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to feel the charm of ancient Shu civilization and modern Rongcheng (Chengdu), toured the University History Museum and the Currency Museum to explore SWUFE’s century-old history and financial culture, visited Shu Embroidery bases, practiced Tai Chi, and tried on Hanfu to immerse themselves in Sichuan’s profound cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, the academic camp organized lectures themed “Sichuan Traditional Culture”, “European Business in Sichuan”, and “Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina Massage”. The participants also made a field trip to the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, which broadened the international students’ horizons and ignited their passion for exploring diverse cultures.
