To effectively enhance students’ professional practical capabilities and comprehensive literacy and deepen the effectiveness of industry-education integration in talent cultivation, our faculty jointly launched a three-day summer professional internship program with Sichuan Language Bridge Information Technology Co., Ltd. from June 25th to 27th. Sophomores majoring in English and Business English actively participated in the program, which was led by Huang Zhihua, Director of the English Department.
Focusing on the development trends and practical needs of the language services industry, Language Bridge carefully designed a series of internship content. Ranging from cutting-edge lectures on “Exploring Large Language Models” and on-site practical training in “AI Translation Data Annotation” to case studies of “Game Localization Translation Projects” to hands-on exercises in “Film and Television Subtitle Translation,” the program concluded with a thematic sharing session titled “Career Paths for Language Professionals.” The curriculum system balances theoretical depth and practical value, aiming to help students fully understand the technological innovations and industry ecology of modern language services.
After the intensive and fulfilling internship, the students gained valuable practical experience. Our faculty will continue to deepen cooperation with enterprises, build more industry-education integration practice platforms for students, and assist them in improving their professional literacy through the integration of theory and practice, enabling them to become compound language talents who meet the development needs of the industry.
